Today I got some time so i sat in front of the computer and i went into my music file to find something to listen to. I didn’t have song in mind to play so i started to browse through the file and I was stunned by the sheer amount of audio files i had. I tried ounting them but after two hundred something, i gave up. My eyes were paining and i havn’t even finished one eighth of the whole thing!! So i went to properties of the main audio file and guess the amount of space that all the songs were taking?? Almost 22 GBs!! In theory, 1 GB can have 500-600 songs so multiply 550 by 22, you get 12100!!! That’s a hell lot of songs. I guess the record companies will hate me , who knows.
Well so after finding the number of songs in my computer to be 11900, i started thinking. Maybe it’s a little too much? I know alot of people out there have music stored into their computers. Most people dont notice that their music collection keeps increasing. Some people just download a song, listen to it and forget about it. Other people download a song, listen to it and if they like it, they will save otherwise, delete. For those people who don’t keep a check on how many songs they have, like me, will end up wondering where all their GBs went.
So, if you read this post, check your PCs and see how many GBs of music you have and post it up as a comment. We’ll see who has the most amount of music and let’s see if anyone can top my 21.6 GB record.hehehe
P.S. I deleted a large portion of my audio collection so now I’m just left with what i like to listen to the most. The amount of space taken is 1.89 GB. Around nine hundred songs. not alot though…..
